“This year, there has been a significant decrease in demand for IT experts”

In the first nine months of 2023, the number of job advertisements in the IT sector was 52 percent lower compared to the same period last year, as indicated by the latest data from the website Helloworld.rs.

Concurrently with the decrease in the number of job postings, there has been an increase in the number of job applicants in these fields. In 2023, there were 55 percent more applicants than in the previous year. All of this suggests the possibility that the job market for IT positions might be slowly approaching saturation.

However, these professions continue to be regarded as promising due to their high earning potential. According to data from the Helloworld website, the highest-paid position in the IT sector is that of a software engineer, with an average salary ranging between 1,807 and 1,985 euros.
