Velefarm has new managing director

Former Managing Director Dragoljub Vučićević remains Chairman of the Board of Directors in the largest local wholesaler of medications and medical products

Upon his personal request, Dragoljub Vučićević has been deposed from the position of Managing Director in Velefarm a.d. Holding, at today’s session of the Board of Directors of the company. As agreed with owners of large share packages in Velefarm, Dr Lukas Fecker from Switzerland has been appointed new Managing Director.

This change at the top of Velefarm is a result of changes in the ownership structure, since the management of this company has transferred a larger share package to companies abroad.

Interest of international companies in the ownership over shares in Velefarm confirms the business potential of the largest local and one of the leading wholesalers of medications and medical products in the region. In addition to agreements on models of future cooperation reached with the largest local and foreign producers of medications, Velefarm has adopted a plan of international business operations, which is already being implemented. Positive business results of Velefarm in 2010 were also confirmed by a report of auditing agency Deloitte.

International operations will additionally strengthen and contribute to the maximisation of the overall business potential of Velefarm.
