Zijin Mining announces significant copper-gold discovery at Timok project in Serbia

Zijin Mining, in partnership with EMX Royalty, has revealed a significant new discovery at the Timok project in Serbia. The discovery, a copper-gold deposit named Malka Golaja, is located 7 kilometers southeast of the ÄŒukaru Peki mine.

The deposit is estimated to contain approximately 2.81 million tonnes of copper with an average grade of 1.87 percent and 92 tonnes of gold with an average grade of 0.61 grams per tonne. These numbers refer to the contained metal, equating to an estimated 150 million tonnes of mineralized material.

In addition, the deposit is still open on the periphery, suggesting that there is considerable potential for further exploration and mineral discovery.
