British businessmen say time is right for cooperation

 

A corporate delegation from the British Midlands region, mostly companies involved in environmental protection, has arrived on a twodaylong visit to Serbia to discuss cooperation with local businesses.

The delegation and prospective partners in Serbia were greeted by British Ambassador Michael Davenport in his residence.

Black Country Metals Ltd. GM Peter Matthews, who is heading the British delegation, said that now was the perfect time for doing business in Serbia, because the doors to the EU had opened to it, which was something supported by the UK.

“This business mission could help Serbia in the area of environmental protection and it could lead to better ties between Serbia and the UK. There are now good opportunities in Serbia, opportunities that did not exist before and now is the time to forge new partnerships between companies in both states,” Matthews said.

Ambassador Davenport also said that he hoped that the two sides would establish successful business ties and announced that a British delegation would visit Serbia again in September.
