Pre-qualification tender announced for construction of tunnel near Dimitrovgrad

Company Koridor 10 has announced a pre-qualification tender for selection of contractor for works on construction of Przojno Padina and Progon tunnels on a section of Corridor 10, between Dimitrovgrad and Bulgarian border.

The applications can be submitted prior to September 29, while the invitation for submission of bids will be published in September.

Progon tunnel will be over 1,000 meters long, while the length of Pržojno Padina tunnel will be 600 meters. Construction will be financed from the loan granted by the World Bank, and the value of works is estimated at 40 to 50 million euros.

Nenad Ivanisevic, a member of Koridor 10’s Managing Board, said that the construction of tunnels would, most probably, start in March 2011.
